Longtime Cleveland radio and television personality quits during show

John Lanigan leaves again, a look back at his career

CLEVELAND (AP) - John Lanigan is done, not only with radio but with Cleveland as well.

He literally dropped the mic in the middle of "The Spew" on WTAM Wednesday morning.

Lanigan hosted the show along with Mike Trivisonno and Mike Snyder.

He told listeners he doesn't really care what happens with the Browns, and politics no longer interest him.

He says they are too divisive.

Lanigan hasn't even lived in Cleveland for quite a while, and he doesn't plan on coming back.

He currently keeps residences in Colorado and Florida.

Trivisonno and Snyder seemed stunned upon learning the news.

According to WTAM, former Indians pitcher and Sports Time Ohio broadcaster Jensen Lewis will replace Lanigan.
