Beachwood Police Chief Gary Haba confirmed the two men found dead inside a South Euclid home after a standoff Saturday are the sons of a murdered Beachwood doctor.
Dr. Richard Warn, 59, was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds inside his Brentwood Road home on Thursday, Aug. 9.
Chief Haba said officers were called to the home Aug. 9 by Dr. Warn's wife.
She had returned home from vacation and wasn't able to get inside.
Dr. Warn was a podiatrist with an active professional license.
Late Friday evening, Aug. 10, police responded to a home on Elmwood Avenue in South Euclid with a search warrant.
Suspects inside the home fired on officers and police returned fire.
The standoff lasted about 12 hours, stretching early into Saturday morning, it was determined both men, identified as Mark Warn, 29, and Michael Warn, 31, were deceased inside the home.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner said both sons died of self-inflected gunshot wounds.
No motive is being released at this time, but Chief Haba said more information will be released on Aug. 14.
