A special night on Saturday, September 8 will also be held exclusively for attendees who purchased tickets for August 11 that was impacted by the widespread power outage.
"The response from guests has been overwhelmingly positive," says Cleveland Metroparks Chief Marketing Officer Kelly Manderfield. "We couldn't be more excited to expand the opportunity for more Northeast Ohioans and visitors to experience this one of a kind event."
Cleveland Metroparks says over 70,000 guests have already enjoyed the festival while seeing more than 40 large scale displays featuring hundreds of colorful lanterns illuminating the Zoo during this exclusive after-hours event.
The festival also celebrates Asian culture with authentic cuisine and live performances.
The extension adds two weeks to the festival that was initially scheduled to end on August 19.
It will continue Thursday through Sunday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
As before, Asian Lantern Festival Tickets are limited and available in advance online for $14.40 for zoo members, $17.50 for non-members, as well as at the door for $20.50. Admission is free for children under 2-years-old. A $45 Family Pack special is also available online.
