Cleveland firefighters rescue woman and cat from house fire on city's east side

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Fire Department said firefighters rescued a woman and a cat from a house fire on the city's east side on Wednesday.

The fire department said the flames broke out around 2 a.m. on Sept. 12 on the 1100 block of East 76th Street.

Investigators said once crews rescued the woman and her pet the woman was taken to Euclid Hospital for smoke inhalation.

At this time we do not know what caused the fire.
