College of Wooster holds class behind prison walls

MASSILLON, Ohio - These aren't the young men that some parents expected their daughters to meet at college.

The College of Wooster is offering a sociology class at a prison in Massillon for young adult criminals. The class includes regular College of Wooster students who ride vans for the 50-mile round-way trip to Massillon.

The class subject is criminal behavior.

Prisoners and College of Wooster students are prohibited from socializing in class or after.

The twice-weekly class is modeled on the program called "Inside-Out Prison Exchange" developed by Temple University in Philadelphia.
