Lawyers advertise to represent deli salmonella victims

CLEVELAND - A Pittsburgh law firm is advertising to represent victims of a salmonella outbreak at a suburban Cleveland deli.

Edgar Snyder and Associates began advertising when it was contacted by a customer of Corky and Lenny's Deli in Woodmere.

The law firm is working with Seattle attorney Marler Clark, who won a lawsuit in the deadly Chi-Chi's Mexican restaurant hepatitis-A outbreak near Pittsburgh.

In the Cleveland salmonella outbreak, 23 cases have been confirmed and 72 are under investigation.

The deli reopened last weekend after a thorough cleaning. Salmonella can be spread when restaurant employees fail to wash their hands after using the restroom.
