Teenagers indicted in girl's strangulation

AKRON, Ohio - A 17-year-old Akron mother and her 16-year-old boyfriend are charged with beating and strangling one of the girl's twin daughters.

On Thursday, a Summit County grand jury indicted Teannia Coday on a murder charge. Boyfriend David Hatcher, who is not the twins' father, also is charged with murder.

Authorities say that Coday's 4-month-old daughter Natalie died on Oct. 29. An autopsy showed that she was strangled and had internal injuries.

Authorities say Natalie's twin sister, Kanessa, had suffered 10 rib fractures. Kanessa is in the temporary custody of Summit County Children Services.
