GUSTAVUS, Ohio - Authorities say that a mechanic was killed in northeast Ohio Wednesday when a tractor tire exploded.
The accident happened at a dairy farm in Gustavus. That's in Trumbull County, northeast of Warren.
The sheriff and coroner are investigating. The man's identity hasn't been determined.
The dairy farm's owner, Dave Hall, says that his son and the mechanic had removed the six-foot-tall tire from the tractor, and then it blew up.
Hall's son suffered a concussion in the explosion.
