Man charged with extortion in juvenile sex case

CLEVELAND - A 30-year-old Cleveland man is accused of setting up sex with runaway boys and extorting money from customers.

Police say that Daniel Davis gave the boys a place to live, and they called him their "gay dad."

Police say that Davis arranged for a 16-year-old to have sex with a man, then entered the room in the midst of the sex act and threatened to tell police.

Davis took the man's wallet and withdrew $1,000 from his bank account. He also made the man write him write a check for $600.

The man's father called police when Davis came back to his home in Solon seeking more money. Officers arrived and arrested Davis.

Police are investigating whether the man paid for sex or broke any laws.
