Man charged with soliciting after going to cops for help

CANTON, Ohio - Police in Canton say that they've arrested a man who complained to officers about being robbed by two prostitutes whom he had solicited for sex.

Police Lt. Ron Shank says the man was upset because he believed that the officers should have helped him get his money back. Instead, the 45-year-old Uhrichsville man was arrested and charged with soliciting.

The man was arrested Saturday night after he flagged down two Canton police officers who were on patrol.

Shank says that the man claimed two prostitutes backed out of an agreement for sex and robbed him of $170.

A 46-year-old woman was arrested and charged with soliciting. The other woman got away, apparently with the man's money.
