Man who reported being robbed by prostitutes sentenced

CANTON, Ohio - A man who police said flagged down officers to report being robbed by two prostitutes was sentenced to 30 days in jail for soliciting sex.

Charles Hart, 45, of Uhrichsville, pleaded no contest in Municipal Court on Thursday and was convicted.

Police said Hart told two officers Saturday night that the women took $70 but failed to have sex with him and then robbed him of another $100. The officers then arrested him.

Police found one of the women, who also was charged with soliciting.

Judge John Poulos gave Hart credit for two days served. He also must submit to a blood test for sexually transmitted diseases.

Hart had disputed the police account, saying he was drinking at a bar when a man and two women grabbed the money from under his glass.
