About Highschool Action All-Stars

Highschool Action All Stars is back on 19 Action News and on 19ActionNews.com that highlights the up and coming All-Star Athletes of Northeast Ohio.

This fall we are focusing on the best and brightest football players from around the region. Are you one? We want you! Or do you know someone who should be profiled? Spread the word! On these pages athletes will be able to display their season stats, stream video, display photos and much more.

We'll be watching closely as new profiles are created and we'll be looking for All-Stars that our very own Chuck Galetti can profile on air in the 19 Action News Sportscasts. So here's your chance! Why waste anymore time?

Please fill out the attached forms by either copy and pasting them into your own email or print them out and mail them into the address given below.

Producers

Producers, Directors, Cameramen and Camerawomen:

Although it sometimes seems like it, we can't be everywhere at once! So we're asking you to help us out. You can do this by putting together a short video segment of your high schools All-Star Athlete to be streamed on our website and possibly even aired in our sports report!

We're looking for shots in action, both on the field and in the classroom, interviews if you have them, and anything fun and creative you think of. Even if you just have a great hit or a touchdown we'd love to see it.

You can email WMV. clips no larger than 2MB to HomeGrownActionAllStars@19ActionNews.com  or for larger files send us a CD or tape to Zeppe's H.S. Action All-Stars, CBS Channel 19, 1717 E. 12th St, Cleveland, OH 44113. Good luck and we look forward to your submissions!

Coaches

This fall 19 Action News'  Highschool Action All-Stars is back for another season.  This project will highlight up and coming high-school athletes and their athletic programs within a feature in the 19 Action News Sportscasts. To start we will be focusing on football players, in later years, potentially opening the competition to athletes of all disciplines.

19ActionNews.com will host a special web page dedicated to highlighting the All-Star players from High Schools solely around Northeastern Ohio. Viewers will be encouraged on air to watch and upload videos, post commentary, and cast votes for their favorite Highschool Action All-Stars. Each week new All-Stars will be profiled by Cleveland's own Chuck Galeti on select sports reports.

We are looking for students who you think might fit this program.  We need your assistance in creating their profiles.  With your help, we can seed the promotion online giving viewers a starting point.  By nominating one athlete, you are not shutting the door to future entrants, just helping us create good content to launch the promotion.

Please also pass the enclosed letter on to your video club / production department if you have one.  We request that you email a copy of your school's team logo/mascot for inclusion on the site.  Please send that .jpeg file to HomegrownActionAllStars@19ActionNews.com

Thank you in advance for your participation. A promotion like this will highlight the importance of high school athletic programs in our communities and generate some friendly rivalries for the season. Please submit as soon as possible so we can get the promotion rolling fast. Questions or comments can also be sent to HomegrownActionAllStars@19ActionNews.com
