Week 2 Waiver Wire

David Carr (HOU) - Carr looked solid for the Texans and finally has the necessary weapons (Andre Johnson, Eric Moulds and Jeb Putzier) to consistently move the ball through the air.   Carr is also one of the top running QBs in the league which is always a nice boost to his final point total.  He finished week one with 208 yards passing, 1 TD and 25 yards rushing.  He will be an excellent fantasy backup/Bye Week Betty and will only get better as the season goes on.

Brandon Jacobs (NYG) - Jacobs is an absolute beast and will be more involved than ever in 2006.  Last year he just replaced Tiki in short yardage situations, but now he is getting to work full series at a time.  He responded with 8 carries for 54 yards and a TD from one yard out.  On the TD he literally bulldozed Colts LB Gary Brackett into the End Zone.  He is a great compliment to Tiki and should be on a roster in every league.

Marques Colston (NO) -

This rookie is the reason the Saints traded Donte Stallworth to the Eagles and should be added in all dynasty leagues if he is on waivers.  QB Drew Brees looked his way early and often as Colston was the team's #2 WR across from Joe Horn.  The Saints went his way inside the RZ and Colston rewarded their confidence with a 12 yard TD catch.

Dallas Clark (IND) - The Colts felt like they did not use Clark enough in 2005, and I would agree, so they clearly made a push to change that.  He was targeted often in this game and responded with a solid 3 catches for 39 yards and a 2 yard TD.  With the Colts running game hurting from the loss of Edge, Clark could snag a few extra short yardage TDs this year and is a great backup right now with starter potential.

Adam Vinatieri (IND) - His injury scared some people off and he is available on waivers in some leagues....if that's the case in yours, grab him now.  Vinny nailed all 4 of his FG attempts and appeared to be 100% healthy.  He is a definite top fantasy kicker.

San Diego Chargers (SD) - I know that the Raiders O-Line was a joke last night, but anytime you shut out a team and generate 9 sacks it is an impressive performance.  If the Chargers are available, stash them on your roster and play them against weaker O-Lines because Shawn Merriman and Co. will kill them.
