ADA, Ohio (AP) - An elementary school teacher and his 14-year-old son who were home for Veterans Day pulled a woman from her burning house trailer.
Mike Badertscher and son Zack were driving Monday afternoon when they saw smoke coming from the trailer.
They stopped and found Ruth Guyton on the floor near the door.
"I opened the door and saw her lying on her back right by the door, and she said she couldn't get up," Mike Badertscher said. "At that time, the trailer started to fill up with smoke, but I could see her legs so I pulled her out.
"When I reached to get her, I could feel the heat behind her and saw some of the orange glow."
Guyton, 84, was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital where she was in fair condition.
Ada is about 60 miles south of Toledo.
