Spinach Makes a Comeback

AP AP

Carlisle, PA - Following new guidelines from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Giant Food Stores, Martin's Food Markets, and TOPS Markets will offer customers a selection of bagged Savoy curly leaf spinach products, grown in Colorado and Canada, as early as Thursday, September 28.

All fresh spinach and bagged spinach items were removed from stores in a voluntary recall on September 15 after the FDA warned of an E.coli outbreak.

Customers will find signs posted by these products letting consumers know that we are bringing these items back from regions only in Colorado and Canada. We have made the decision not to bring back California-grown spinach until further notice.
