ST. LOUIS (AP) - They'll try again tonight in St. Louis, where yesterday's rain postponed the first attempt to play Game Five of the National League Championship Series. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with light winds and a low temperature in the mid 50s.
New York's Tom Glavine and Jeff Weaver of the Cardinals will now be pitching with the normal four days' rest between starts. And that could be especially helpful to Glavine, who is a mediocre 8-and-6 with a three-point-53 earned run average in 25 career starts on three days rest. And the extra day off can't hurt the Redbirds' bullpen, which got beat up in Sunday's loss to the Mets.
