Poll Finds Higher Approval Rating For Governor

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A new poll finds that more than two-thirds of Ohioans say that they approve of the job Gov. Bob Taft (pictured, right) is doing.

The Ohio Poll says that 69 percent of Ohioans approve of Taft, up from 65 percent in July.

The poll says that 16 percent of Ohioans disapprove of the way Taft is handling his job as governor, and 16 percent don't know.

The University of Cincinnati's Institute for Policy Research surveyed a random sample of 826 adults from Oct. 24 through Nov. 8.

The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percent.
