Browns Activate Rookie Offensive Lineman

BEREA, Ohio (AP) - Offensive tackle Paul Zukauskas, Cleveland's seventh-round draft pick this year, was signed Wednesday from the Browns' practice squad to the active roster.

Zukauskas was a three-year starter at Boston College before the Browns selected him with the 203rd overall pick in April's draft. The 6-foot-5, 306-pounder had been on the practice squad all season.

The Browns' offensive line has been a trouble spot for the club this season, and Zukauskas will give Cleveland some added depth. To make roster space, the Browns released offensive lineman Toby Myles.

The club also signed Gannon Shepherd, a 6-foot-8 offensive tackle who was released earlier this season by Jacksonville, to the practice squad.
