Judge Schedules Iacona Re-Sentencing Date

CLEVELAND - Audrey Iacona could be home in time for Christmas, 19/43 News reported.

The Medina County woman convicted of killing her newborn baby has her re-sentencing date scheduled for Dec. 21. That gives judge Christopher Collier time to read up on the case.

Collier was appointed to the case after judge James Kimbler removed himself amid charges of bias.

Iacona's lawyer said that she has shown remorse for the death of her premature baby, and is seeking a sentence that involves therapy and community service. Iacona has already spent almost two years behind bars.
