Attorney: Domestic Violence Case Against Reuben Droughns to be Dropped

Denver, CO - Cleveland Browns running back Reuben Droughns says it's a big weight off his shoulders.

His lawyer says a Colorado domestic violence case against Droughns will be dropped. Defense attorney Harvey Steinberg says prosecutors have concluded their case was too weak.

The district attorney's office in Denver did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Droughns says now he's able to just think about football.

He was arrested for investigation of third-degree assault and harassment after a May 12th incident at his suburban Denver home. He was accused of throwing his wife Kellie to the ground and onto a bed before shoving her outside and locking the door.
