UPDATE: STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) Penn State coach Joe Paterno is expected back at practice today and could be at Beaver Stadium for this weekend's regular-season finale against Michigan State. That's according to his defensive coordinator, Tom Bradley.
The 79-year-old Paterno sat out last week's win over Temple while recovering from surgery on his left leg to repair a broken shinbone and two torn knee ligaments. It was the first game he'd missed since 1977.
Paterno was injured in a sideline collision on November fourth at Wisconsin.
