Baby-Stabbing Suspect Denies Charge

CLEVELAND - A Cleveland woman charged with stabbing her own baby faced a judge on Tuesday morning, 19/43 News reported.

Prosecutors said that Annietra Taylor stabbed her 15-month-old son in the stomach over the weekend.

Taylor, who tried to keep her face hidden behind her jacket in court, has denied the charge.

She's being held on bond.

The baby's father, Tyrone Stevenson, also kept his face hidden. He faced the judge on an unrelated charge connected to an outstanding warrant for contempt of court.

Stevenson has not been charged in connection with the stabbing.

The baby remains hospitalized in serious condition.
