Firefighter Charged Only With Speeding

CLEVELAND - A Cleveland firefighter has been slapped with a speeding charge after hitting and critically injuring a little boy, 19/43 News reported.

19/43 News was first to tell you about Phillip Leslie in August. At that time, he declined to talk about what happened.

Police said that Leslie -- an off-duty firefighter -- hit 3-year-old Aaron Ligon with his personal vehicle when the toddler darted out into traffic.

A 19/43 News exclusive investigation revealed that Leslie was also involved in another wreck that left a man dead. The previous incident occurred in April when Leslie was driving a fire truck to an emergency. He became part of a chain-reaction accident that was later ruled to be accidental.
