LTV Employees Hitting Streets To Demonstrate

CLEVELAND - As community leaders make their voices heard in court, LTV employees are taking their concerns to the streets in a series of rallies, 19/43 News reported.

The first demonstration is set to begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday at LTV district offices in Cleveland.

Workers in East Chicago, Indiana and Hennepin, Ill. are planning to hold rallies to coincide with the one here in Cleveland.

On Saturday, a march is scheduled to begin at noon, and will be led by U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich. The march will go from Saint Michael Hospital to the Veterans Memorial Plaza in Downtown Cleveland.

Next Tuesday, the steelworkers' union will send busloads of workers to Youngstown for a critical hearing about LTV's future that's being conducted by a bankruptcy judge.
