Rapper Escapes Bus Crash On Turnpike

MILAN, Ohio - MTV rapper Jadakiss escaped a bus crash on the Ohio Turnpike late Thursday morning, 19/43 News' Bill Safos reported.

Jadakiss sat down with 19/43 News after the accident and talked about how the name of his new album -- Kissed Tha Game Goodbye -- almost came true to life.

"We almost kissed the game goodbye," Jadakiss said. "Yeah, it was almost true to life."

After the crash on Interstate 80 near Milan, the entire band was rapping one of the more spiritual record cuts in particular.

"You know why we made it?" Jadakiss said. "Because I've got a song called 'We Gonna Make It.'
It's a very positive, spiritual song that we live by."

Jadakiss and his band made it even after their bus hit a guardrail and landed on its side in a ravine. The MTV rapper and 10 people on his staff who were aboard were all OK despite the rude awakening.

"I was sleeping, and then I was upside down," Jadakiss said.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said that there was no fog, but slick roads from a lot of rain.

As a result of the accident, Jadakiss had to miss his scheduled concert with fellow rapper Busta Rhymes in Chicago.
