The busy holiday season is here -- a time when spirits are high, celebrations thrive and travel increases across America's roadways.
Tragically, drunk driving is also on the rise during this special time.
The year 2006 marks the 20th Anniversary of MADD's Tie One on for Safety campaign, which began in 1986 and is the organization's largest Public Awareness campaign. The campaign asks Americans to tie a red MADD ribbon on a visible location on their vehicles. The ribbon is a symbol of the motorist's pledge to drive safe and sober and serves as a reminder for others to do the same.
This holiday season, WOIO CBS 19 and Don Joseph Toyota will partner with MADD to help educate Northeast Ohio communities about the danger of drunk driving.
