Ankle Injury Sidelines Another Cavs Center

CLEVELAND (AP) - Another Cavaliers center will be riding the bench a while.

A broken ankle bone will sideline Michael Doleac for five to six weeks, the team said on Friday.

Doleac will not require surgery, but his foot will be in a cast for three weeks.

It's just the latest in a long line of injuries that have sidelined various Cavs big men.

Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas underwent his fifth foot surgery last winter and isn't expected to play until next month. Rookie DeSagana Diop, who was expected to back up Ilgauskas, hasn't played since the opener because of a strained knee.
