Columbus, OH - Fans from all over Ohio swarmed the stadium Saturday to witness one of the biggest games ever in college football history. No. 1 Ohio State beat No. 2 Michigan 42-39. The Buckeyes are going to the National Championship game in Tempe, Arizona on January 8th. Will Michigan still make it to the Championships?

The game kicked off with Michigan scoring the first touchdown minutes within the start of the game. The Buckeyes, playing follow the leader, did the same.

Heading into the second quarter, the Wolverines were practically invisible until the very last seconds of the half when they managed to roll a second touchdown into the end zone. The Buckeyes were playing a different game it seemed, scoring twenty-one points in the second quarter alone.

Michigan came back from halftime all fired up and ready to score. The Wolverines did just that putting a touchdown and field goal up on the scoreboard immediately. The Buckeyes, not to be out done, filed another touchdown and field goal as well, closing out the third quarter. The Buckeyes still leading 34-31 at the end of the quarter.

Fourth quarter kicked off with the Wolverines getting into the end zone again. The touchdown went under review and came up short. Michigan, looking shocked, came right back with another touchdown that would stick to the scoreboard the second time around. The Wolverines kicked the extra point instead of going for the two point conversion.

The last few minutes of the fourth quarter were absolutely terrifying for Ohio State. Michigan scored a touchdown with two minutes left in the game and made the two point conversion, inching the gap closer to Ohio State's lead.

Michigan just couldn't beat the unbeatable. Ohio State wins 42-39 and head to the National Championship game on January 8th, 2006 in Tempe, Arizona.
