EUCLID, Ohio - Cleveland Police said that one man had a smashing time on Monday morning trying to steal a car from a local dealership, 19/43 News reported.
The break-in happened at the Lakeshore Chevrolet dealership.
According to police, the suspect broke into the showroom window and tried to crash through a wall in the dealership before finally stealing another car outside and trying to escape.
A co-owner of the dealership, Ron Hazelton, said that he's shocked by the robbery.
"We've been operating the dealership out here in Euclid for about three years, and we've never had any incident whatsoever or any major vandalism," Hazelton said. "It was a little bit shocking to get the phone call, and come down here."
The suspect was tracked down at East 238th Street, where he was arrested. He was treated at Euclid Hospital for injuries that he suffered during the break-in.
