Woman Who Starved Mother Found Not Guilty

AKRON, Ohio - An Akron woman has been found not guilty by reason of insanity for starving her 73-year-old mother to death, 19/43 News reported.

Diane Arnold, 44, was charged with involuntary manslaughter for failing to provide care for her mother, Loretta Arnold.

Loretta died from pneumonia, malnutrition and bedsores last January in her Northfield Center Township home.

Diane (pictured, above) could have faced up to 10 years behind bars if she were convicted.
