NEW YORK (AP) - Former "Saturday Night Live" star Tracy Morgan has been arraigned in New York on charges of driving while intoxicated. A judge released him without requiring bail, but Morgan had to turn over his driver's license.
Morgan was arrested early today after being stopped in upper Manhattan. Police say he smelled of alcohol and that he later failed a breathalyzer test at a police station.
A prosecutor said in court that Morgan told officers he'd been to a club and that he "had some beers."
The prosecutor said he's recommending a fine, community service and a DWI program. Morgan's lawyer said she had no interest in the plea offer at this time. The judge scheduled another hearing in January for "a possible disposition."
