22-Year-Old Man Dies In Rush Hour Accident

AVON, Ohio - A fatal crash during the morning commute on Wednesday tied up traffic on Interstate 90, 19/43 News reported.

The accident happened shortly after 6 a.m. in Avon at I-90 eastbound near routes 254 and 611.

A 22-year-old Vermilion man was driving a Chevrolet pick-up truck when he crossed the median and struck a semi truck head-on. The man died instantly.

The driver of the semi -- a 57-year-old man from North Canton -- was not injured.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
