BROOK PARK, Ohio – If you have a Cuyahoga County library book that is long overdue, now is the time to return it, 19/43 News reported.
The Cuyahoga County public libraries are offering amnesty this week. That means that you can turn in an overdue book, cassette or CD without any fines or questions asked.
The public library system does this at least once every year in the hope that they'll get back some of the long overdue items, of which there are plenty.
As of mid-October, the public library system had accumulated outstanding fines nearing $1 million.
