COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - JaQuan Hart, who announced late last month that he was leaving the Ohio State basketball team, said Monday that he is transferring to Eastern Michigan.
Hart said he was homesick and having academic difficulties when he left the Buckeyes on Nov. 29. He will be eligible to play at Eastern Michigan in January of 2003 if he fulfills academic requirements.
The 6-foot-6 freshman from Flint, Mich., practiced with Ohio State this fall but was ineligible to play in games because he was a partial qualifier academically.
