Bucyrus Plane Crash Kills Family of Four

Bucyrus, OH (AP) -- A single-engine plane crashed Sunday night in a residential neighborhood, authorities said. A family of four has died as a result of the crash.

Authorities say 49-year-old Paul Martin and 45-year-old Lillian Martin were killed, along with their children, ten-year-old Kitanna and eleven-year-old Shawn. The family was from Austin, Texas. The patrol says they had been visiting relatives in Oklahoma and were flying to Searsmont, Maine, where they owned property said Lt. Tony Bradshaw with the State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported about 7 p.m., a spokeswoman for the Bucyrus police department said.

Authorities did not say if the plane struck any homes or buildings. There was no immediate report of injuries on the ground.

Bucyrus is about 60 miles north of Columbus.
