Prosecutors To Seek Death Penalty For Clinic Gunman

CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County prosecutors said that they would seek the death penalty for the man accused of killing his wife in the lobby of the Cleveland Clinic earlier this month, 19/43 News reported.

Ricardo Leon, 40, of Westlake, was in court last Monday. He's being held on a $1 million bond for the murder of his wife.

Investigators said that Leon shot his wife, Monica Leon, 34, in the head and killed her as she arrived for work at the clinic.

Monica's ex-husband, Lewis Foster, of Cleveland, was shot in the arm.

Monica ran into the hospital to get away, but was fatally shot in the building.
