Two cops injured in an early morning police chase

Around 4:20 am police were called to 3757 West 134th and Lorain for a report of shots fired. When cops arrived in the area they found a gray pick-up truck leaving the scene with the lights off.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but, the suspects hit the gas and took off. The high speed chase went down lorain avenue to West 32nd and Clark.

The suspect's truck then rammed into a police car causing the cruiser to flip upside down and catch on fire. The two officers inside the car were pulled from the wreckage by other police. They were taken to metro hospital.

One officer was treated and released while one was admitted with internal bleeding in the head. No names are being released on the officers but, they both work in the first district.

Two suspects are now in custody, one adult male and one juvenile male.

No names on them being released and multiple charges are pending.
