WARREN, Ohio (AP) - A man pleaded guilty to beating his 20-month-old son so badly that he later died.
Bobbie Lee Craven, 24, of Girard, faces three to 10 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter and felonious assault. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of child endangering Thursday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
Craven is accused of beating his two sons. One died of head injuries and the other was hospitalized.
He was arrested at Forum Health Tod Children's Hospital by Mahoning County sheriff's deputies when his son died on Sept. 19.
Twenty-month-old Brandon was brought to the hospital two days earlier by his grandparents. He was in cardiac arrest and suffering from blunt-force trauma to his head.
Craven's 3-year-old son remains in foster care.
