Coroner: NFL Star Darrent Williams Shot Once in Neck

Denver, CO - The medical examiner's report says a single bullet to the neck is what killed Denver Broncos star Darrent Williams.

The 24-year-old defensive back was shot in the early hours of New Year's Day, when someone opened fire on the limo he was riding in. Denver investigators say two other people were wounded when a gunman in another vehicle began shooting at the stretch Hummer.

Police believe there was a dispute at a nightclub several blocks away, where Williams had attended a party. Witnesses told police Williams wasn't specifically involved, and investigators say there's no indication he was the target.

Williams' agent says a viewing is scheduled for Friday evening at a church in Fort Worth, Texas, and the funeral scheduled for Saturday at the same church.
