Paris Pleads Not Guilty to Drunk Driving Charges

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Paris Hilton is pleading not guilty to misdemeanor drunken driving charges.

Hilton didn't go to the Los Angeles courthouse today, since she wasn't required to. Instead, her lawyer entered the pleas for her.

The hotel heiress was arrested in September after police say she was driving erratically in a Mercedes on a Hollywood street. Hilton says she only had one margarita that evening, while at a charity event.

The judge set a pretrial hearing for January 23rd, and says the case has to go to trial by February 23rd.
