Couple Donates $1.5 Million Bucks To Hospital In Memory of Daughter

Cleveland, OH - A northeast Ohio couple has donated one-point-five (m) million dollars to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland in memory of their daughter.

Chuck and Char Fowler of Lyndhurst lost their 14-year-old daughter Angie to melanoma 25 years ago.

The Fowlers says they were drawn to Rainbow by its commitment to cancer research affecting young people.

The donation will be matched by 500 thousand dollars from the Rainbow Babies and Children's Foundation as part of an effort to create ten endowed chairs at the hospital.

The couple's gift also will create the Angie Fowler Adolescent and Young Adult Treatment Suite as part of an outpatient center being built at Rainbow.
