Anti-War Groups Deliver Petition to Dennis Kucinich

WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) - Several anti-war groups that include members of the military have signed a petition against the war in Iraq.

Today, the groups delivered the so-called "appeal for redress" to Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich in Washington, DC.

The groups include Iraq Veterans Against the War, Veterans for Peace and Military Families Speak Out.

Kucinich's office says the petition was signed by more than a thousand active duty military members.

Active-duty military personnel are allowed to publicly object to the war, as long as they do not wear their uniforms when expressing their opinions.
