Winter Wallop on the Way

Cleveland, OH - A lake effect snow watch remains in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday.

A cold front will move across the area tonight and usher in reinforcing cold air into the region. The strongest cold air will not arrive until late Friday afternoon. The winds are expected to become well aligned Friday afternoon and cause lake effect snow to develop.

Snow showers may begin to develop Friday afternoon and possibly become heavy in squalls Friday night into Saturday.

Snow accumulations of 6-12 inches are possible over the Northeast Ohio inland snow belt areas and in excess of 12 inches are possible over the inland areas of Northwest Pennsylvania by late Saturday.
