CLEVELAND (AP) - A former Ohio man pleaded guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court to collecting more than $23,000 for rare sports cards that he sold on eBay but never shipped to the successful bidders.
Brian D. Wildman, 31, of Miami, formerly of Cuyahoga Falls, faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each of two counts of mail fraud. He will be sentenced by Judge Dan A. Polster on March 4.
Wildman advertised baseball cards from the 1940s and '50s and a collection of basketball cards on the Internet auction site between April and May.
