Gov. Strickland Delays Three Upcoming Executions

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Governor Strickland has delayed three upcoming executions, saying he needs more time to thoroughly review them.

Strickland delayed the first execution of his administration -- a move he had signaled earlier -- along with two others.

The execution of Kenneth Biros had been scheduled for Tuesday, but he has been granted a reprieve until March 20th.

Death row inmate James Filiaggi has been granted a reprieve until April 24th, and Christopher Newton until May 24th.
