Retirement Community Residents Become Calendar Models

CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio (AP) - Think fine wine, cigars and aged brandy.

The Distinguished Gentleman of Hamlet Village calendar features gentlemen aged 80 to 96 who are residents of the Hamlet Village suburban Cleveland retirement community.

Mister January, Donald Chester, holds a martini beside a fireplace at Gamekeepers Taverne.

Mister September, Charles Hurst, is the self-proclaimed number one fan of the Cleveland Browns who poses holding a stuffed football and wearing a football jersey, pants and hat.

Marc Benson, president of the retirement community, says the calendars were created to benefit the community.

Carole Botfa, vice president of sales and marketing, says she chose the months and props for the men based on their interests.

Almost 300 of the calendars already have been sold.
