Super Lotto Jackpot Winners Will Lose Jobs

CANTON, Ohio (AP) - Six co-workers who will be laid off Jan. 4 claimed a $7 million Super Lotto prize Wednesday at a lottery office.

The co-workers from Crown North American, a Wooster metal fabrication plant, won Saturday's jackpot and each will receive $358,865 each.

They recently learned that the company was going to close and that they would lose their jobs.

"We were so elated that we had won that it wasn't even funny," Art Doney of Norton said.

He called the win "a blessing."

The winners are Doney; Paul Cogar of West Salem; John Cicconetti and Edward Troyer of Wooster; Elaine Lee of Shreve; and Randy Bretz of Millersburg.

The winning ticket was purchased at a Speedway in Mansfield.

Odds of winning the Super Lotto jackpot are one in 13.9 million.
