FDA Approves Fat-Blocking Pill

For the first time, the FDA has approved an over-the-counter weight loss drug.

The fat-blocking pill, Alli, will contain half the dose of the prescription version of Xenical.

The drug is intended for people 18-years and older - and is intended for use with diet and exercise.

When taken with meals, the drug blocks the absorption of about one-quarter of any fat consumed.
