Couple Might Face Charges For Neglecting Children

NEW LONDON, Ohio – A local couple that is charged with animal abuse might now face charges for neglecting their children, 19/43 News reported.

Jason Turner and his wife, Tina, are charged with eight counts of animal abuse after police discovered dogs and puppies standing in filth, inside their New London mobile home.

Investigators said that two of the Turners youngest children were also in the middle of the filth, and police have now asked the county health department and family services to investigate.

"These kids really need to be looked after, along with those animals," neighbor Lynn Balduff said.

Two of the dogs were in such bad shape that they had to be put down. The rest are at the Humane Society.
