Death Of Minister Shocks Community

GRAFTON, Ohio – Many people in the town of Grafton are still in shock after learning about the death of a popular pastor, 19/43 News reported.

19/43 News showed you the pictures of the one-car accident that killed the Rev. Henry Gillespie on New Year's night. It wasn't until Wednesday, however, that the victim was identified as the reverend from Lorain.

Gillespie was the founder and pastor of the Haven Non-Denominational Church on Broadway.

Parishioners at the church are vowing to carry on the pastor's mission.

"He was a very dynamic person, really loved the Lord and was dedicated to his church and to his people -- the people of our community," Gillespie's friend Walter Frey Jr. said.

Church services will go on with Gillespie's wife giving the sermon in his place. His friends said that he would have wanted the church to stay open.
